We Are Approved for Kickstarter!

It is an exciting time for us at tweetlighter because we have just gotten our project approved for kickstarter! If you don’t already know, kickstarter is a site where people can go to help others with projects that they want funded.

We are truely excited about the opportunities that are ahead and to see what kind of a community we can build. We will be sure to keep you posted and as always “Retweet Outside the Box!”

Off The Beaten Path

Buttons, boxes, and more buttons! I heard this phenomenon described so well by the writers over at mashable.com as the “Nascar effect”, and it seems that almost every site that you visit these days is trying to get you to click on one of the 500 share buttons posted on their site. While I agree that a few strategically placed buttons is great (as we have them), it is not necessary or even possible to post them everywhere? Or is it?

With tweetlighter we have taken a different approach to how we think that the web should retweet. We give users to retweet any text on any page of any site that tweetlighter is installed. As long as you have a wordpress site you can just download the plugin and allow users to retweet anything that you write.

No more buttons all up in your users faces, just a very simple and clean interface that allows your readers to retweet anything they want to on your site. We feel like we are on to something with tweetlighter and while there may be the “accepted” way of doing things right now, we think that by keeping it simple with tweetlighter, we are going to do it better and do it smarter.

First off I would like to say thank you for visiting this page and taking the time to look at what tweetlighter is all about. Plain and simple, we want to change the standard of how retweeting is done.

No ugly buttons taking up your precious webpage, no ugly counters, no boundaries just a very simple highlight of the text will allow you to retweet what it is you want. We want to create the best retweeting experience possible and we wanted to do it differently than the rest.
